An archive of memories of The Beatles in Sheffield, and the people who were there.

Fan Archive Beatles Sheffield (FABS) is a passion project collecting memories of The Beatles’ visits to Sheffield and the stories, people and places connected to them.

What began as an archive of concert memories has grown into something richer: a portrait of Sheffield in the 1960s, told through the people who lived it. Through these memories emerges a city of queueing fans, proud parents, sharp suits, bitter winter nights, chance encounters and teenage devotion.

From those inside the venues to those listening from outside, from family stories to overlooked local connections, every contribution helps build a fuller picture not just of Beatlemania, but of Sheffield itself.

All contributions are gathered respectfully, credited, and will be permanently donated to Sheffield Archives so they can be preserved as part of the city’s cultural history.

An exhibition of Fan Archive Beatles Sheffield will take place at the Post Hall Gallery (the former Head Post Office) in Spring 2027, featuring stories, memorabilia and Sheffield’s many Beatles connections.

If you have a memory to share — however small — I would love to hear from you.
