I remember my mum queued for ages to get me a ticket for the concert as I had a birthday coming up, and it was one of my gifts. It was quite frenzied in the auditorium. Nobody heard any music or lyrics because the screaming from the audience drowned everything else out. We didn’t mind; it was a dream come true just to gaze at our heroes in the flesh, knowing they were only a few yards away.As the screaming reached fever pitch, girls started fainting, and the St John Ambulance Brigade, who were in attendance, had to fight their way through the crowd and manhandle them into the aisles to administer first aid.It was certainly a concert to remember!
